Executive Functioning Coaching
LEARN. It all starts with a solid foundation of practical life skills. Some of our clients, for a variety of reasons, never had the opportunity to learn and practice these skills, while other clients have many strengths in these areas and, like any of us, could just use a bit of a tune up!
These skills include:
When these skills are compromised, it can lead to anxiety, stress, and feeling overwhelmed. Things begin to slip through the cracks and it can negatively effect all areas of your life. When you work with IEG, these essential life skills are taught and practiced with your coach in real-life settings. You will master and maintain these skills by developing systems with your coach that are uniquely customized for you, building upon your strengths, and helping to overcome your challenges. As these skills increase, you experience less stress and more confidence in your own abilities.
GROW. Once a solid foundation has been established, we begin to build consistent, meaningful structure. This structure can take many forms, including; paid work, volunteer work, enrolling in or returning to school, taking classes for fun, socializing with friends, attending meetings or groups, and pursuing hobbies of interest. The goal in this phase is to establish a healthy and balanced life. We help you find opportunities in your community to build this necessary structure. We can help you prepare for and find vocational and educational opportunities. We can help you to identify and get involved in social, recreational, and community events. Most importantly, we’ll support you through this process as you continue to develop your skills and your new, balanced lifestyle.
LIVE. As you continue to grow you are empowered to pursue your larger, long-term goals. Whether it be career aspirations or starting your own business, pursuing creative endeavors, developing healthy relationships, getting married and starting a family, traveling, or other personal aspirations, we will help you identify and clarify your long-term goals, and establish a reasonable, achievable game plan. We can help you find and create these opportunities in your life, and prepare you for success in these personal endeavors.
Most importantly, your coach is your advocate, your ally, and part of your team throughout this process. We provide a very flexible and scalable scope of services, so we can provide whatever level of support is necessary to help you learn the necessary skills and achieve your goals in a safe, structured, and successful manner.

Adam is a rare blend of engaging warmth and strict professionalism. He has exceptional skills in making clients feel at ease, yet, at the same time, he can maintain boundaries and limits that uphold the integrity of the working relationship, enabling him to reach treatment goals previously unattainable for some clients. In addition to offering practical support, he has extensive experience working with teen clients, providing academic assistance and support, college preparation, vocational guidance, and problem solving skills.

I started working with Adam when I got out of an intense residential rehab program one year ago. He helped me make the transition from being in rehab for two years to moving back home, and he helped me figure out the decisions that would best fit my new and improved lifestyle. He was always someone I could go to for help and we would problem solve together. The thing Adam helped me with the most was my relationship with my mother. He helped us learn how to communicate better and my mom was able to go to him for help if she didn’t know what to do with me. Adam also helped me complete my college applications, study for SAT’s, learn how to manage money and time, learn how to deal with stress, and practice going on job interviews. I highly recommend Adam to anyone who needs help getting his or her life back on the right track.
