A Gap in the Forest
"It was once believed that trees in a forest compete for sunlight. We now know this is not true. In fact, when a tree is struggling, others around it will open their canopy, allowing the sunlight in, creating space for healing and growth. This is called “A Gap in the Forest.”
This healing power extends itself to our mental health community, where people, place, and purpose meets creativity, empathy, and empowerment."
A Gap in the Forest is our 501-(c)(3) peer-run nonprofit offering a variety of creative, social, and recreational groups, hosted by and for individuals living with mental health conditions. AGITF provides a platform for artists to collaborate & showcase their work, space to explore creativity & empowerment, and immersive communities centered around empathy, support and positive mental health.
